Friends of the Gallery

Members of the Dunedin Public Art Gallery Society are a cross section of the community who appreciate what our gallery offers to the citizens of Dunedin and visitors. We support the gallery by raising money to buy works of art to enrich the gallery’s collections.

Through the society the gallery has benefitted over the years from a number of generous gifts of artworks and financial bequests. Each year the society supports a number of important acquisitions to fill gaps in the existing collections or add to the gallery’s collection of contemporary New Zealand art.
